I'm all for taking on a challenge, but Pete Frederick's successful quest to write 30 original stories in half a year does sound like a mammoth endeavour. (I, by comparison, am still working on the same story I was working on six months ago, and the six months before that!)
The editorial process can be confusing to the uninitiated, with its many rounds focusing on different aspects of a manuscript. So here's Claire Watts to the rescue with a blog post all about it.
